Claudia Ferrini, PGA/LPGA

Claudia Ferrini brings over two decades of experience as a golf professional to her role as Director of Golf Operations at Williamsburg National. Her career includes leadership positions at premier clubs including Old Trail Golf Club, Country Club La Planicie in Lima, Peru, and Glenmore Country Club in Keswick, Virginia. A proud native of Lima, Peru, Claudia competed at the University of New Mexico on a golf scholarship, twice earning South American Championship titles and All-Conference honors.
Holding dual PGA and LPGA Class A certifications, Claudia is committed to innovation, mentorship, and elevating the guest experience. Her leadership style embodies the values of integrity and hospitality, fostering an environment where both team members and golfers thrive. When not at the course, she enjoys traveling and playing pickleball.
Keith Mays

Keith Mays is the Assistant Golf Professional – Operations, with a passion for the game and a dedication to growing the sport. A 2017 Graduate of James Madison University, Keith holds a bachelor’s degree in Sport and Recreation Management and is currently a PGA Associate working toward Class A certification.
With a strong foundation in golf operations and his communication styles, Keith brings energy, professionalism, and a personal touch to the course every day. Away from the course, Keith enjoys spending quality time with his family, cheering on the Washington Nationals, and unwinding with a quiet evening and a good home-cooked meal. A self-proclaimed foodie, Keith finds joy in cooking and creating delicious dishes.
David Moles

David Moles is the Assistant Golf Professional – Player Development at Williamsburg National, where he channels his lifelong love for golf into impactful instruction and coaching. Originally from West Virginia, David began playing golf at age five and went on to compete in middle school, high school, and college.
David started his career at The Greenbrier Resort and later worked at Bayville Golf Club in Virginia Beach before joining Williamsburg National. A Level 2 PGA Associate, he is focused on mentoring players of all skill levels and enhancing their experience through innovative instruction. Outside of work, David enjoys exploring new restaurants, walks with his wife and dog, and relaxing near the water.
Jeremy Waddell GCSA

Jeremy Waddell serves as Director of Agronomy and Facilities, bringing a wealth of turfgrass expertise and leadership to Williamsburg National. Previously, he led the Gold Course at Golden Horseshoe Golf Club through a nationally recognized renovation and consistent top-tier rankings.
Jeremy has also served as Assistant Superintendent at Two Rivers Country Club and The Pete Dye River Course of Virginia Tech. A leader in the industry, he is President of the Virginia Golf Course Superintendents Association and former President of the Old Dominion GCSA.
Jeremy’s commitment to integrity, innovation, and course excellence ensures that Williamsburg National remains one of the premier golf experiences in the region. He resides in Williamsburg with his wife Gina and their children, Grey and Nash, and enjoys golf, hunting, and fishing.
Jake Arbogast

Jake Arbogast is the Golf Course Superintendent at Williamsburg National, where he leads daily maintenance operations and ensures pristine playing conditions. A local native and Jamestown High School graduate, Jake has spent five years with the club, including three as Assistant Superintendent, before taking the lead role.
Jake studied environmental sciences at West Virginia University and plans to further his education through Penn State’s Turfgrass Management Program. His commitment to innovation, profitability, and excellence in service aligns perfectly with the club’s values. Known for his hands-on leadership, Jake is passionate about delivering exceptional course conditions for every round.
George McLaughlin

As Executive Chef of The 1607 Grill, George McLaughlin blends culinary creativity with a heartfelt commitment to guest satisfaction. With a background in both customer service and culinary arts, George takes pride in preparing delicious meals and engaging directly with guests.
He fosters a work environment rooted in fun, patience, and collaboration—values that shape the welcoming experience of The 1607 Grill. When not in the kitchen, George enjoys quality time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, watching sports and working in the yard.
Chris Cowe

Chris Cowe brings over three decades of restaurant experience, including 24 years in management, to his role as Manager of The 1607 Grill. His background spans everything from fast food to corporate GM roles, giving him the versatility to oversee the unique demands of events, members, vacationers, and regular guests.
Chris thrives in environments that value camaraderie and hospitality. His philosophy centers on building genuine connections with guests, getting to know their stories, and offering a personal touch that enhances every visit. When not managing the grill, Chris enjoys family time, playing guitar, golf, and plans to return to flying soon.
JR Powell
General Manager

JR Powell is the General Manager of Williamsburg National Golf Club, bringing decades of hospitality experience and a deep commitment to service. A Virginia-raised graduate of Elon College, JR previously led Berret’s Seafood Restaurant for 13 years before joining Williamsburg National in 2017.
With a genuine love of golf and strong belief in team camaraderie, JR fosters a culture of fun, integrity, and hospitality. His leadership ensures the smooth operation of all departments while creating a welcoming environment for members and guests alike. A lifelong sports fan, JR enjoys outdoor adventures and cheering on the Giants, Mets, and Knicks.
Chris Hartig, PGA

Chris Hartig is a seasoned PGA professional with over 25 years of leadership in the golf and hospitality industries. As Executive Property Manager for Carlton Hospitality Group, Chris oversees operations at Williamsburg National Golf Club.
Chris spent a decade at Kingsmill Resort, one of the Mid-Atlantic’s premier golf destinations, where he honed his expertise in club operations, member services, and team development. His earlier career included Hell’s Point Golf Club and Broad Bay Country Club in Virginia Beach and the prestigious BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. These experiences shaped his deep understanding of both private and resort-style operations.
Known for his strategic vision, approachable leadership style, and unwavering integrity, Chris brings a unique ability to balance operational excellence with the club’s core values—Hospitality, Integrity, Profitability, Innovation, and Have Fun. A passionate advocate for team and culture, he creates environments where both staff and members thrive.
Outside the office, Chris is an avid golfer, devoted family man, and lifelong student of leadership and personal growth.
